While most of my designs are formed organically, through exploration, this piece came into being from first making a sketch, and hoping the materials would co-operate with my idea.
Inspired by the swirls of Art-Nouveau, the 'chalice' shape is constructed of 2mm garnet beads, with more faceted garnet in the chain. The center stone is onyx, with a natural baroque freshwater pearl dropping from the stem of the 'chalice'.
